{One} Year

Sweet Baby {E} has been in our home for over a year! Her smiles and giggles are contagious and she definitely keeps us on our toes.

We had a Cake Smash Party a week after her birthday and she really wasn't too interested in the cake. Which was very surprising! She usually has an epic sweet tooth. 

A few stats about Eden:

She has 5 teeth; 3 on top, 2 on bottom

She is getting better and better at walking.

Her favorite past time lately is climbing up the stairs.

Favorite word: Wow! But can also say: mom, momma, da da da, shoes {sh sh sh}, cheese {ch ch ch}, hi, bubbye...

She loves string cheese. And bananas. She could eat nothing else and be happy. 

She thinks it is funny to shake her head no, but is actually pretty good at listening when I say no. She knows what it means. 

While changing her diaper she likes to reach behind and grab headbands {and whatever else she can reach}. She also likes to wear headbands and picks them out some days. 

She loves to be outside and going on walks. 

Lately she has joined in on the "Tickle Football" fun {wrestling and tickling on our bed} with Steve and Alex. 

The pink stuffed bear is her favorite and she will oftentimes walk around with him tucked in her arm. 

{Cuteness} Overload

I don't even think I need to say anything about these images. Her joyful cuteness says it all.

My Baby {E} at 5 months

I'll add a few facts for anyone actually reading and not stuck staring into those gorgeous eyes:

• Her favorite person is {A}, she thinks he's hilarious
• She loves jumping in the Jumparoo
• She sits up well on her own
• She loves to eat. Basically everything. Except applesauce. She thinks applesauce is the worst
• She smiles with her whole face; mouth wide open. Most of the time. Sometimes she has a goofy closed mouth smirk. 
• She will suck/chew on just about anything so keep on eye on your fingers and hair if you are near.
• {A} and Baby {E} get in hilarious raspberry {spitting} contests. Baby {E} wins the award of the most drool at the end
• She is looking more and more like Dad and {A}
• Her feet. She's obsessed. They are constantly in her hands/mouth if she can see them.
• She is pretty much the best baby ever. Except at night when she's up 10 times. Then I'm back to baby hating...

{Pumpkin} Patch

Pumpkin patches are the best. We showed up tonight at the perfect time. The lighting was great and it wasn't crowded, yet.



{A} is turning into a silly smiler... Bummer! And Baby {E} just loves having her mouth wide open. But they sure are cute no matter what.

 {A} refused to let me take off the sticker from his shirt. He says he needs it on so everyone will know that his shirt will glow in the dark.

This was about 1 second before {A} started climbing through the hole to look at Baby {E}

At least one of them is looking... at the camera.

And because I didn't get one good one of her smiling, here is a phone picture. She's the best!

{Three} Months

How is this possible? Baby {E} has already been in our home for three whole months. On one hand I can't believe it! How can she be getting so big so fast? But really it kind of feels like she has been in our lives forever. We love this sweet girl so much. She is so happy and calm. Today in church she was silly with lots of giggles. And no nap. She was also awake at 4 a.m. ready to play! Luckily Daddy was nice enough to hang out with her for a bit so I could sleep.


A few facts about this sweet babe:

• She is well past 12 pounds. The little chubster
• I get asked frequently if those are her natural curls or if I curl them. Seriously people, I don't have time to curl my own hair let alone a squirmy baby's...
• Just this past week she has started to enjoy tummy time and roll over onto her back
• She is so happy and likes to giggle
• I may or may not have given her a lick of my banana and she may or may not have LOVED it!
• She loves Little {A} and puts up with excessive hugs and face squishing kisses 

Baby {E} But Not MY Baby {E}

So clean simple and elegant.

Pull Back: Not so clean, simple, or elegant.... You don't need a fancy studio to get beautiful shots. Just a clean corner and natural light from the window. 

This sweet babe and mine are destined to be besties. At least for the next couple years until one of us moves away. That will be a sad day I don't even want to think about yet.

Baby {Z}

It's been so good to be back in business this month! I love taking pictures and sharing special moments with families. Capturing true emotion fills me with joy. Being in a family's home right after they bring their sweet baby home is the best; everything is a little chaotic, but there is always so much love.

Sibling {Love}

Little {A} is quite the big brother. He loves Baby {E} "the mostest toastest". He LOVES helping with diaper changes, making sure Baby {E} always has plenty of blankets, gives a gazillion kisses a day, puts her pacifier in when she is fussy and sometimes when she's not, picks out her outfits (he especially likes the ones with ruffles because it makes her a princess), and he loves to hold her. I was so worried while pregnant that this would be a hard transition for him, but he has been so good. Yes, he still has tantrums. Yes, he gets a little attention hungry at times. But in all reality Baby {E} could not have asked for a better big brother. I can already tell they have such a strong bond. When Little {A} is in the room she will turn her head towards his voice. She puts up with all the crazy squishy kisses that he loves to give and does it with a tiny crooked smile most of the time. 

I'm sure Baby {E} will eventually get tired of all the poking and prodding and will learn to poke back. I say about a million times a day to Little {A} not to touch her face, he needs to be soft, please don't lick your finger and wipe it on her, she doesn't need her pacifier right now, and PLEASE STOP TOUCHING BABY! But I know he is doing all those things out of love. He loves her so much. He is always worried about where she is and making sure someone is watching her. I'm hoping this sibling love will last a long time. I'm sure they will be bickering before I know it, but until then I will try to enjoy his need to always be near her out of love. 

Baby {E}

So remember how I don't like babies. Well, I think maybe my mind is changing. Except in the middle of the night, I still don't like babies in the middle of the night. Oh and I only like my baby. I still feel basically nothing when I see other people's babies. But my baby, well, she is basically the cutest best baby in the world; so of course I love her.



Introducing the most perfect baby in all the land: Baby {E}

Little {A} was never content to be awake. But Baby {E} loves looking around and just hanging out. Is this normal newborn behavior? I seriously have no idea.

Do you see that hair?! She has lots. I love it! I was worried I'd have another old man baby.

And my favorite. Check out that Outie! That thing casts a shadow it's so tall.

So now that Baby {E} is officially introduced I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more of her. Probably. Maybe. Unless I need a nap. Because even though she is the most perfect baby, she still needs to eat several times a night.

I am so behind!! I've had a few posts sitting as drafts just waiting for me to finish. Since today, TODAY, is my due date for baby girl I thought it fitting to share this sweet babe.

And in case you are wondering... Today is my due date, but the baby is too content. Induction is scheduled for Friday! Wahoo!
