{One} Year

Sweet Baby {E} has been in our home for over a year! Her smiles and giggles are contagious and she definitely keeps us on our toes.

We had a Cake Smash Party a week after her birthday and she really wasn't too interested in the cake. Which was very surprising! She usually has an epic sweet tooth.

A few stats about Eden:
She has 5 teeth; 3 on top, 2 on bottom
She is getting better and better at walking.
Her favorite past time lately is climbing up the stairs.
Favorite word: Wow! But can also say: mom, momma, da da da, shoes {sh sh sh}, cheese {ch ch ch}, hi, bubbye...
She loves string cheese. And bananas. She could eat nothing else and be happy.
She thinks it is funny to shake her head no, but is actually pretty good at listening when I say no. She knows what it means.
While changing her diaper she likes to reach behind and grab headbands {and whatever else she can reach}. She also likes to wear headbands and picks them out some days.
She loves to be outside and going on walks.
Lately she has joined in on the "Tickle Football" fun {wrestling and tickling on our bed} with Steve and Alex.
The pink stuffed bear is her favorite and she will oftentimes walk around with him tucked in her arm.

{Nine} Months

Oh sweet {Edelton} how we love you so! This girl.... I can't even explain how much joy she brings to our home. She is the sweetest, happiest girl. She still doesn't crawl, but has made some improvements since last month. She can now go from her tummy back to sitting. And she doesn't hate being on her tummy anymore, so probably soon{ish} she'll crawl. She has learned to point and clap her hands. If anyone says "Yaaaaaaay" she will do her best to clap, but sometimes gets too excited and hits her legs instead. {Ede} is not a good sleeper. I have just come to terms with it. I'm sure all my babies will be the same. She is however doing better{ish}, but still up a few times to eat. The last day or so she has been getting both legs stuck in the rails, so we had to put the bumper pads up; don't judge, it was for all our sanity.  {Edelberry} loves loves loves {Al} and is always looking for him. She gets so excited when she sees him. I love watching her watching him. She always has the biggest grin when he's around.  Happy {Nine} month birthday baby girl!

 She has been making the silliest faces lately. This is not even close to the silliest. I love seeing more and more of her personality shine through and grow each day.

Eight Month old Sweet Baby {E}

 Sweet Baby {E}den is 8 months old! This post is a little late, but we've had kind of a dramatic week...

We love this sweet girl so much. She brings so much joy into our home. {A}lex adores her and is constantly hugging and kissing her. She is happy almost all of the time.

She jabbers so much. Her favorite "word" is bob.

Mid cough and still cute. Little did we know her 8 month birthday was probably day one with RSV.

She has learned how to wave and was quick to wave at everyone in the hospital.

A few more things about Sweet {E}den
  • She still does not crawl, but is pretty mobile by scooting around on her bum. She really hates being on her tummy.
  • She was loving all foods, but since being sick hasn't wanted to eat much solids.
  • She has FINALLY started sleeping a little better at night. Only up a 2 or 3 times instead of 10. It's progress I promise.
  • She jabbers all the time and really thinks she is part of most conversations.
  • Bathtime is still her favorite. She splashes all over.
  • She really enjoys walks in the stroller.
  • She spent one day/night in the hospital while she was suffering from RSV and Rhinovirus. She responded really well to the breathing treatments so we didn't need to stay too long. She really gave us a scare though and had to ride in the ambulance to the hospital from her peds office.
  • She has lots of silly nicknames: Edie, Edelton, Edel, Babe, Baby Eden, Ede, Baby Rox...

We sure do love this girl and can't imagine our lives without her.

p.s. I am working on a chilly Utah snow post. I have the pictures just need to get them up!

{Six} Precious and Tiring Months

How has this happened? Six months already? But really at the same time I'm thinking, only six months? I can't remember life without you. Today we celebrated by singing Happy Birthday, eating pumpkin cookies, a lunch date at the park with friends, and of course a photo shoot.

Happy Half Birthday sweet Baby {E}

That pacifier. It's more of a chew toy these days.

And guess who inherited the squinty eye? It gets droopy when she's sleepy.

A few facts:
  • {A} is still her favorite and can make her giggle harder than anyone else. He can also make her cry fairly quick too.
  • She still loves her feet, especially when she's wearing shoes. She loves chomping those sparkle jellies!
  • She is obsessed with eating. She has even overcome her dislike of applesauce.
  • Since she has started sitting up really well, she refuses to have tummy time. So no crawling anytime soon (I Hope).
  • She has turned into a naughty sleeper not unlike her older brother. I'm hoping she will go back to her perfect sleeping days soon. Mom and Dad are very tired of playing at 4 a.m.
  • Her hair is getting lighter and less curly. And I'm so sad she's losing that signature curl.

{Sweet}ness

I have no words that adequately describe the love I have for these sweet babes of mine. I am so blessed Heavenly Father blessed me with these two. And my heart fills with more love everyday as I see how much {A} loves his sweet Baby {E}.

I love seeing her fun personality grow each day. I love watching her watching {A}. She loves him so much.

The {Reality} of DIY Photoshoots

I have a goal to get really good at using the tripod so we have more family shots. This week was our first trial run... it was ahem, a good practice. I don't think any of these are Christmas Card worthy, but they make me happy. I forgot my remote so these are with the self timer. Next time I will be sure to remember the remote!

Test picture...

 Hubby thinks he's tipping over... we'll work on posture for next time!

Not bad.

Seriously family. I was the one who had to run to get in the photo. This is actually my favorite though. It just might make it on the card!

 And seriously Baby {E}. Silly girl! {this one happened by accident. I forgot to put the self timer back on}

I hope someone gets a good laugh out of these; I sure did! I'll be sure to post the cute ones later. I didn't get a really good family one, but I took some cute ones of the kids.

{Cuteness} Overload

I don't even think I need to say anything about these images. Her joyful cuteness says it all.

My Baby {E} at 5 months

I'll add a few facts for anyone actually reading and not stuck staring into those gorgeous eyes:
  • Her favorite person is {A}, she thinks he's hilarious
  • She loves jumping in the Jumparoo
  • She sits up well on her own
  • She loves to eat. Basically everything. Except applesauce. She thinks applesauce is the worst
  • She smiles with her whole face; mouth wide open. Most of the time. Sometimes she has a goofy closed mouth smirk.
  • She will suck/chew on just about anything so keep on eye on your fingers and hair if you are near.
  • {A} and Baby {E} get in hilarious raspberry {spitting} contests. Baby {E} wins the award of the most drool at the end
  • She is looking more and more like Dad and {A}
  • Her feet. She's obsessed. They are constantly in her hands/mouth if she can see them.
  • She is pretty much the best baby ever. Except at night when she's up 10 times. Then I'm back to baby hating...

{Pumpkin} Patch

Pumpkin patches are the best. We showed up tonight at the perfect time. The lighting was great and it wasn't crowded, yet.

{A} is turning into a silly smiler... Bummer! And Baby {E} just loves having her mouth wide open. But they sure are cute no matter what.

 See, wide open. But those blue eyes...

 {A} refused to let me take off the sticker from his shirt. He says he needs it on so everyone will know that his shirt will glow in the dark.

This was about 1 second before {A} started climbing through the hole to look at Baby {E}

At least one of them is looking... at the camera.

And because I didn't get one good one of her smiling, here is a phone picture. She's the best!
