Mother's {Day}
I was so hoping I would have had this sweet baby on Mother's Day. It would have been the perfect day. I'm serious. Perfect. Her Birthday would have been 5.10.15. Ah my OCD would have loved it! Especially if she was born at 20:25. But, no such luck. I did get to spend a wonderful day and really the whole weekend with Hubby and Little {A}. We tried our hardest to put me in labor. I spend 3 days straight on my feet. We explored a little, walked a lot, and went to a soccer game with friends. My calves and feet were so swollen Saturday night and didn't really recover until Monday afternoon. I told hubby he better get a few pictures of me, because I might not get dressed up again before the baby comes. And by dressed up I mean I wore earrings and washed my hair.

{Before}
This post or idea for this post has been on and off my mind for about two and a half years. The list in my mind has changed a little from stage to stage, but the idea has been the same. My life DRASTICALLY changed 2 years 9 months 3 weeks and 2 days ago. I became a Mom. I traded my fun late nights for serious screaming all nighters. My clean, organized house for an "organized" disaster zone. My cleanish car for a goldlfish crumb infested mom car. I now shop for screaming deals on tiny shoes and shirts instead of fab finds for me (most of the time). I traded concerts for play dates and work for potty training. Adult conversation is rare and I talk about bodily fluids like its the weather. Date Night? More like Red Box in bed and one of usually falls asleep night. Shopping trips with girlfriends has turned into me trying to fit a stroller into the tiny dressing room and then my toddler gives me fashion advice. I used to read a novel in a day! Now I read on average 30 rhyming stories; most I have memorized. I never in my whole life thought I would ever be comfortable peeing in front of someone. Well now I have my own personal bathroom assistant who gets very offended if I ever heaven forbid lock the door! My purse used to be small and cute. Now its a big mom bag full of snacks, diapers, wipes, toys, coupons, water bottles, stickers.... I used to love jamming to Motion City Soundtrack in my car, now I unashamedly sing along to John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt and other assorted silly songs. I yell out randomly in my car "Look! A Bus (garbage truck, mail truck, fire truck, police car, tow truck...)!" But honestly, I love all those things. I think I made a good trade. Yes, sometimes I miss the before life when I could sleep in a little later and my hair always looked good, but then I wouldn't have Little A. And that thought makes me cry. That first year of screaming was so hard, but he grew into one awesome, funny, sweet toddler. The sweetest words I have ever heard, "I love you, Mom".
Little A is the best. He is my best bud and we do everything together. Everyone should have a toddler as awesome and sweet as him.
Happy Mothers Day to ALL the wonderful moms, expecting moms, wanting to be moms, angel baby moms, and all the other wonderful women out there!

{M}om
My mom is the best. Some of you may try to convince me that your mom is the best, but we'll just have to agree to disagree. Well today my friends, is my awesome mom's birthday! Here are a few fun facts about my mom:
Kelsey B
- She is the ultimate crafter and DIYer. She sews, quilts, paints, restores furniture. She is always on the lookout for a fun new project!
- She and I used to work in a flower shop together. (I bet you didn't know that about me, did you!) She worked there for years! She still does flowers for family weddings and funerals. She is so talented!
- Her garden/yard is my favorite place. My wedding reception was there as well as my sisters's. The grass is always perfect. The flowers are so pretty and fragrant. Every year she has new ideas on how to make it better.
- She is an awesome grandma! 13 grand kids and another on the way! Wahoo!
- She raised 7 kids! Six girls and one boy. We are a BIG happy family :)
- My mom loves the color blue. At one point I told her she couldn't buy any more blue clothes because it was getting out of hand.
- I'm sure if my mom could be any animal she would be a bluebird. She loves birds! And that bird loving trait has been passed down to a few of the grand kids including my little guy.
- She makes the BEST cinnamon rolls! She even sells them. They are that good.
- She used to have written instructions on how to turn on our computer and get to her email. Now she has her own laptop and is pretty tech savvy.
When I think of my mom I usually picture her in one of two places; either in her sewing room, or outside working in her yard. I don't have any pictures of her sewing room, but I do have some pictures of her amazing yard.
My mom is the greatest. She has helped me through so much and I have learned so much from her.
I love you, Mom! I hope you have a great day!
